It works in three simple steps: choose a plan based on how often you cook, receive your replacement set automatically when it's time to swap, and recycle your old worktops at home in your kerbside bin.
Worktop lifespan depends on how often you cook and what you chop. Hard ingredients like carrots and squash, along with dull knives, wear the surface faster - once knife marks accumulate, it's time for a fresh one. We've built three plans around real cooking habits: Casual (£12/year) for occasional cooks every 12 months, Foodie (£18/year) for regular home cooks every 6 months, and Aficionado (£26/year) for daily cooking enthusiasts every 4 months. KitchenSavvi worktops are designed for daily use without a second thought - accessibility and hygiene are the whole point.
We believe in clear, all-inclusive annual pricing with no surprise charges. Each plan is billed yearly and covers a set number of replacement sets: Casual at £12/year (1 replacement set per year), Foodie at £18/year (2 replacement sets per year), and Aficionado at £26/year (3 replacement sets per year). Every plan covers VAT, free UK delivery, and all transaction and handling fees - no add-ons at checkout, no hidden costs at renewal.
The 25% new joiner discount applies only to your first year on the Foodie or Aficionado plans (including bundles). From your second year onwards, your subscription renews at the standard price - £18/year for Foodie or £26/year for Aficionado. We'll always let you know in advance before any renewal, and you can cancel, pause, or switch plans at any time before the next billing date.
On a per-set basis, the subscription works out cheaper than buying replacements individually. Beyond price, the subscription removes three things from your routine: time spent shopping for replacements, uncertainty about whether your current worktop is still hygienic, and last-minute searches. Your replacement set arrives at the right moment, automatically - so kitchen safety becomes part of the schedule, not something to manage.
Yes - and it's the main reason we chose polypropylene (PP) as our worktop material. PP is a type 5 plastic accepted by most UK household and kerbside recycling bins, making it the only common chopping board material you can recycle at home with no special handling. Pop the old worktops into your recycling bin alongside your other recyclables - no drop-off centres, no separate disposal process.
Yes - you can cancel, pause, or switch plans before your next annual billing renewal from your account page. If you've moved house, update your delivery address there too.
